Define data repository requirements, data dictionaries, and warehousing requirements
Optimize database access and allocate database resources for performance and cost
Drive availability, performance monitoring, and capacity planning
Support multiple services and databases with diverse concurrent users
Monitor and tune Oracle and SQL Server performance, including query optimization, indexing strategies, execution plan analysis, and capacity management
Lead technical projects and provide guidance to less experienced team members
Automate database administration tasks through scripting, scheduling, monitoring, and maintenance processes
Assist with organizational activities and initiatives
Requirements:
U.S. Citizenship and U.S. residency required
BA/BS degree and 6–8 years of relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience
Deep expertise in Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server database design, administration, performance tuning, and optimization
Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and mentor junior staff
Familiarity and knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions for Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server environments, including Oracle Data Guard, RAC, SQL Server Always On Availability Groups, Failover Cluster Instances (FCI), replication, log shipping, and backup/recovery strategies
Experience installing, configuring, patching, upgrading, and administering Microsoft SQL Server 2016/2019/2022 or later versions
Experience with SQL Server security, database backup and recovery, maintenance plans, SQL Server Agent, monitoring tools, and database migration activities
Experience with performance tuning, indexing, query optimization, and troubleshooting database performance issues in both Oracle and SQL Server environments
